Spirituality and Ecological Hope

I have been wanting to do a post on the debate around ethanol and other biofuels as alternatives to fossil fuels – why this will not solve our problem and why this could instead increase world hunger, finish off more small farmers, give a big boost to agribusiness and its destructive ways of doing agriculture, while not actually reducing carbon emissions significantly.

This morning, I ran across this debate among bloggers, found first at the gristmill blog.  So I thought I'd just link it here to get readers in on the discussion.  I will weigh in again in a later post.
