Fostering Ecological Hope
Today from Margaret Swedish:
Okay, I have no idea if I will be able to post for the next few days. I am going to Toronto for a very intriguing conference which I will post about when I get back to Maryland this weekend. Please stay tuned.
I just spent a couple of remarkable days with my 8-year-old godson - who loves frogs and Lake Michigan and climbing on rocks and who holds my hand as we walk in the woods on the trails I walked on as a kid.
Think of the kids you care about. Think about the world you want for them. I think about this every day. May our love for our children outweigh our love for a consumer lifestyle that threatens their future, their relationship with wonder, with nature, their spontaneous relationship with the earth.
If I can post from Toronto, I shall. If not, I will post this weekend.
