Fostering Ecological Hope
Today from Margaret Swedish:
Al Gore is determined to save the planet. In a speech yesterday, he began to lay out a plan for reducing the carbon emissions that are leading to the heating of the planet, global warming that threatens the future of civilizations around the world.
He also gave a clarion call for action — calling on all of us to create a popular movement to demand a freeze on greenhouse gas emissions, similar to the nuclear-freeze movement of recent memory.
You go, Al! This is exactly what is needed. And we should all think seriously about the role we can play in creating such a movement.
