Fostering Ecological Hope
Today from Margaret Swedish:
Last few times I’ve been in the Phoenix area, the worsening smog has been evident, an increasingly serious, dangerous, and tragic by-product of the automobile-based population explosion in that state.
Now Arizona is following California’s example and taking action to cut carbon emissions, a leading cause of global warming.
If we can’t get the feds to act, maybe we can tack on more states until the critical political mass is created nationwide.
These steps are not adequate yet, but they are helping us get closer, or at least to communicate to the public that something needs to be done to address damaging climate change.
