The Sikh community and the town of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, are becoming a model for how to turn hate and violence into a force that can transform our society. Ecology is about the interrelatedness of everything, and so we cannot hope to heal the planet if we don’t overcome the violence, racism, and injustice that remain deeply embedded in our culture.
